This precision engineered nut is made with a specially formulated material which couples the strings’ vibrations to the neck and brings out the hidden harmonics and richness in every note. Compared to standard materials such as bone, Micarta or Corian, you’ll hear more harmonics with every note you play when you use TUSQ on your guitar. TUSQ is a proprietary material that is precision engineered under high pressure and heat. It is specifically formulated to deliver the right frequencies with the optimum transfer rate to the top of your guitar every time. Because of the way TUSQ is made, it is a consistent material that is rich in tone and harmonic content.TUSQ guitar parts have quickly become an important tone performance tool for some of the world’s most renowned guitar manufacturers, luthiers and playing professionals. TUSQ nuts and saddles have rich tone and sustain, without the inconsistency found in ivory, bone and other natural materials. Bone and ivory have hard and soft spots (grain) throughout each piece, hampering consistent transfer of vibrations to the guitar top. The TUSQ replacement guitar nut is designed to transfer the right frequencies more efficiently from the string to the guitar body. Acoustic guitars come alive. Gibson Guitar Bridge Saddle Pieces
Graph Tech String Saver Saddle Tune-O-Matic Nashville Pre-2000 Gibson Set
Graph Tech’s String Saver Saddle for Tune-O-Matic Nashville Pre-2000 Gibson is made with a unique combination of materials made to enhance tone and dramatically reduce string breakage. How do they work? A string resting on a metal saddle binds and locks the string in place. As the string vibrates, it stresses the string on a very specific point producing metal fatigue and then string breakage. Each String Saver saddle is impregnated with Teflon, the slipperiest substance on earth. The Teflon in String Savers eases the grip between the saddle and string spreading the stress over a greater portion of the string just enough to drastically reduce string breakage. Teflon is 500% more slippery than graphite and is impregnated throughout the String Saver material, so its lubricating properties will never wear out. For string breakage reduction, the difference is dramatic. Strings will last and last, no matter how hard you play. What do they sound like? Metal saddles have a pronounced 2kHz treble spike that dominates the tonal spectrum. Like all the String Saver Originals from Graph Tech, the String Saver Saddle for Tune-O-Matic Nashville Pre-2000 Gibson has a more balanced tone with sizzling highs, full mids, and big, open lows. You will also notice an increase in sustain by up to 25% over brass saddles and 15% over steel.String Saver Originals are made entirely of Graph Tech’s String Saver material and as described above will give you a more balanced tone than steel saddles. On first listen, some people believe that the top end has gone away. However, once your ears get used to the new sound, you’ll start to hear all the added harmonic content that String Saver saddles reveal. All that’s missing is the 2kHz spike, but what’s added opens up a whole new world of sonic possibilities! |

VERY interested in your tefk\lon /graphic Gibson tune matic bridge saddles for my 1962-3 Gibson ES 355 st/sv . BUT would like to discuss with a tech via phone Correct thread etc
If you have an older Gibson, take a small medicine bottle, put the original saddles in that, and KEEP IN THE GUITAR CASE! The guitar can be returned to “original” again, so long as those saddles do not get lost. I have a Gibson Victory X with the nylon, and brass saddle top adjust bridge. Those saddles were replaced with pieces of Tusq I carved down from acoustic saddles. The original saddles on those 9 way top adjust bridges get really cruddy, and these were like brand new and so they shall stay like brand new (BOTH SETS!) Most of those guitars, only have one set, because the other set was lost. If you have a USA Gibson 4-40 works.
I’m looking for a Black Royalite cover.
